Speaking during the first international workshop on the establishment of science and technology in Abuja, Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Alhassan Bako Zaku said the parks will also help nurture the development and growth of technology based business and institutions in Nigeria.
Represented by the Director, Information and Communication Technology in the ministry, Engineer Abdulwaheeb Jimoh, the minister said, “science and technology parks have many advantages and provides a wide range of management, research and marketing opportunities.”
Also speaking at the workshop, the Director General of the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP), Dr Umar Bindar, said the technological parks will help facilitate the development of functional networking and synergy within the national system of innovation, adding that they will also provide training and skills acquisition opportunities.
