FG sets up committee to curb employment fraud in MDAs

The Federal Government has inaugurated a committee on enrolment of newly recruited civil servants on the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) to checkmate employment fraud in ministries, departments and agencies.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Folasade Yemi-Esan, while inaugurating the committee on Monday in Abuja, bemoaned incidences of sharp practices, noting that a large number of fake appointment letters were being discovered in some ministries.

She said if not properly addressed, it would deny a great number of prospective and eligible law-abiding job seekers of employment.

Director Press, OHCSF, AbdulGaniyu Aminu, said the office was already collaborating with security agencies to investigate and bring to book, those behind the nefarious and shameful practices.

The chairman of the committee and permanent secretary, Career Management, OHCSF, Mamman Mahmuda, said the committee would carry out it assignment with all sense of responsibility.
