ICT firm, Inq.Nigeria, has called on the federal government and private sector to bridge the widening girl-child digital gap in workspaces across Nigeria.

The firm also called for the support of the girl-child to occupy the driver’s seat in the global ICT ecosystem and technology advancement in the country.

The call was made by the Managing Director of Ing.Nigeria, Mr Ifeanyi Akosionu during the celebration of this year’s International Girls in ICT Day, an event aimed at recognising and empowering girls and women in ICT-related careers.

Organised by E-Business Life Communication Limited and supported by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the 12th edition took place in Lagos, a statement by the firm said yesterday.

Akosionu emphasised the importance of efforts and policies aimed at equipping youth with digital skills.
