The federal government through the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), on Monday, donated relief materials and presented 7,415 bags of grains for vulnerable persons in Kano State.
The Director General of NEMA, Mustapha Ahmed Habib, while presenting the items to the state government, said the gesture was part of the 12,000 metric tons of grains approved by President Muhammadu Buhari, from the National Strategic Reserve Stick to be distributed among the 36 states and FCT.

Represented by the Deputy Director, Finance and Accounts of the agency, Alhaji Aminu Boyi Ringim, the DG said the items were made up of food and non-food items.
Receiving the items, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje commended the federal government for coming to the aid of the vulnerable and donating additional relief materials to flood victims in the state.
