The responsibility of providing quality education is largely shouldered by government.
Presently, the Federal Capital Territory does not have a single government-owned technology institution unlike the states that have federal polytechnic or university of technology or both.
FG revokes training contract for N/Delta ex-agitators
We must seize power from political bandits in 2023 – YPP
People living in the federal capital face limited access to educational institutions which offer courses in technology-related disciplines. Although there are quite a numbers of private polytechnics and institutions of technology in the territory but they are very expensive for the common man’s children.
It is in realization of this that I wish to appeal to the authorities to hasten the opening of the University of Technology, Abaji .
The opening of the university would lead to the bridging of the gap in access to technology-related courses by the teeming qualified youths in the territory.
It will also provide job opportunities to many including the host community.
I will like to appeal to all relevant authorities to support the actualization of this dream to help in pushing this agenda till it becomes a reality. The FCT needs a functional university of technology and a federal polytechnic in order to reduce admission stress for FCT natives.
