Chairman, Senate Committee on Works, Senator Muhammed Adamu Aliero, says the Federal Government is not selective in funding infrastructural projects across the country.
Aliero said this on Tuesday during the inspection of the dualization of the Benin-Auchi-Okene Road.
“The recovered looted funds are shared equitably across the country. If you look at the Sovereign Investment Fund, the federal government took one critical road in the north which is the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaira – Kano Road. Also it took one critical road in the south which is the Lagos-Ibadan-Sagamu- Benin Road which is part of the Niger Delta.
“Equally, the federal government is also funding the Second Niger Bridge that has been on the draw board for over 40 years, the bridge is still part of the Niger Delta.”
