Governor Nasiru Idris of Kebbi State has said that the federal government in collaboration with the Kebbi State Government has concluded arrangements to supply petrol to farmers free of charge for dry season farming to boost agricultural production in the state.
The governor, while addressing APC supporters in Yauri at the weekend, said he and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku-Bagudu, had reached an agreement on how to effectively supply the fuel to the farmers.

Idris also said his administration would distribute 12,000 solar-powered water pumps to farmers, noting that it had already distributed 6,000.
