The Project Coordinator of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation (HYPREP), Dr Ferdinand Giadom, has said President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the connection of the entire Ogoni communities to the national grid through the Ogoni integrated power project.
Giadom, who disclosed this at the Ogoni power project stakeholders’ sensitisation and engagement forum at Kpor, headquarters of Gokana LGA of Rivers State on Monday, said a specialist hospital has also been approved for the people of Ogoni.
He said both projects were conceptualised as additions to the deliverables of HYPREP to the people of Ogoniland.
