The National Orientation Agency (NOA) engaged operators of Parks and Gardens and Horticulturists in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) at a workshop to sensitise them on security matter and galvanize support for a peaceful environment.
Declaring the workshop open, the FCT minister Senator Bala Muhammed said intimating managers of public places on the need and steps to take to ensure security of lives and properties was a necessity, taking cognizance of the current security challenge in the country.
According to him, “these are trying times for us as a nation, but we all need to rise up to the challenge and defend our unity from these terrorist groups.”
The minister was represented by the Coordinator of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC), Arch. Reuben Okoya.
The Director General of NOA, Mike Omeri said citizens have a duty to work together with security operatives.
