The Bridge Clinic has advised couples with infertility related problems to seek professional help in addressing the situation.
The clinic which specializes in fertility treatments also celebrated 1,935 births achieved through artificial insemination known as In vitro fertilization (IVF).
Speaking at a children’s party to mark the milestone, coordinator, marketing and customer service of the clinic, Dr. Ekundayo Omogbehin stressed the need for proper regulation of IVF in healthcare services.
According to him, due to the lack of regulation in healthcare space a lot of people dabble into sectors of medicine.
He said while it may be difficult to put a price to a baby, it is shouldn’t be blown out of proportion adding that this informed a partnership between the Bridge Clinic and the Lagos State government to set up a fertility treatments center at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, (LASUTH).
