FERMA fixed potholes, overlay damaged roads

The Katsina Field office of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) has fixed over 2,500 sqm2 of potholes in addition to running about 630 meters of new overlay of damaged roads across the state.

The Head of the Field office, Engineer Nyihemba Daniel said these were some of the activities executed under a renewed nationwide FERMA projects tagged “Operation 38.”

He said the potholes were mostly along the 39 km Niger Republic border- Kongolon-Daura-Kazaure border to enhance safe, smooth-riding surface and prolong the pavement service life.

Daniel said there were also repairs of washout embankments and collapse culverts along Dutsinma-Kankia road at Yantuluna village as well as vegetation control works along Katsina-Kano border.
