The Federal Character Commission (FCC) has announced that it would soon commence a nationwide infrastructure audit for all ongoing and abandoned projects in the country.
The Executive Chairman of the Commission, Dr Muheeba Dankaka, disclosed this at a sensitisation workshop on socio-economic amenities and infrastructural facilities held in Abuja.

Dankaka said the move became necessary so as to institutionalise and domesticate even distribution of projects and programmes.
She stated that inadequate data on the infrastructural distribution and the spread of socio-economic projects in Nigeria had made it difficult to appraise even the distribution of projects and programmes.
She added that there was an increasing collaboration between the commission and other government agencies responsible for providing socio-economic amenities and infrastructures.
In his keynote address, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Federal Character Commission, Senator Danjuma La’ah, commended the FCC for intensifying efforts to actualise the mandate adding that conscious implementation would impact more positively on the lives of the people.
