The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved a memo for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Limited to execute a memorandum of understanding with ECOWAS for the construction of the Nigeria–Morocco Gas Pipeline (NMGP) project.

The Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, announced this Wednesday while briefing State House reporters after the federal cabinet meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

He said the gas line will “take gas to 15 West African countries and to Morocco and through Morocco, to Spain and to Europe.”
