FEC okays additional N7. 7bn for Mangu Dam contract

The Federal Executive Council on Wednesday approved augmentation of the cost of the  Mangu  Dam in Plateau State to N7.66 billion from the original N5.66 billion. 

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu,  said this while addressing State House reporters after the cabinet meeting. 

The presidential aide said this increased the total sum of the contract to N13.2 billion

The council also approved the augmentation of the contract sum for the rehabilitation of Burnt Marina Bridge and the Maintenance of Eko (Apobgbon) and Ido bridges in Lagos, in Favour of Messrs Buildwell Plant and Equipment Industries Limited, in the sum of N114,424,225.05. 

With this,  the contract sum was revised  from N957,053,316.45 to N1,071,29,541.40 with additional completion period of six months.
