The Federal Executive Council on Wednesday approved N16bn contract augmentation for the dualization of the ongoing 78km Kano-Katsina Road project.
The Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, recalled that the contract was awarded in 2019.

He said the contractor, having done appreciable work, asked for a review of the quality of engineering and the contract deal was augmented with N16bn, “thereby revising the subsisting contract from N29bn to N46bn.
He said the contract was awarded to CCEC. He said the council also approved N821,653,000 for the procurement of 32 operational vehicles for the NDLEA from INNOSON Motors.
The Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Olamilekan Adegbite, said FEC approved the Nigeria Mining Value Chain Regulation for the development of raw materials into refined products before exportation.
