The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved N27.4billion for victims of insecurity and flood across the country.
The approval was granted during the council meeting presided over by President Muhamamdu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Wednesday.
Briefing State House Correspondents at the end of the meeting that lasted for about seven hours, Kebbi state governor, Atiku Bagudu, said the approval was granted following the presentation by the National Food Security Council.
Bagudu, who is the vice chairman of the National Food Security Council, said 8.5billion was approved for 69,872 victims of conflicts and insecurity in seven states.
He said the council also approved N18.9bn for 116,117 victims of flood in 14 states. Bagudu said the money would be used to provide fertilizer, seedlings, poultry products, among others to the beneficiaries.
