The Federal Executive Council on Wednesday approved a sum of N2.67 billion for the University of Maiduguri.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, stated this while briefing State House reporters after the FEC meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Shehu said the money would be utilised to fortify security in the institution.
He said fund would come from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND).
