The representatives of 20 top Tunisian companies arrived in Nigeria on Monday to discuss investment opportunities in the country.
The Ambassador of Tunisia to Nigeria, Mohsen Antit, said the companies would hold meetings with the Nigerian government and private establishments on ways of collaboration and opportunities for investments.
Anis Jaziri, the President of the Tunisia Africa Business Council, on arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, said members of the delegation were from diverse sectors.
“The purpose of our visit is to create real opportunity between Tunisia and Nigeria. There are huge things that we can do together. Like, you know, Tunisia has very good products, very good service in many sectors.

“We want to see exactly what’s going on here in Nigeria, in which sector, in which fields we can make cooperation, economic cooperation.
“So tomorrow we will have the Nigerian-Tunisian Economic Forum. After the forum, we will have also many B-to-B meetings arranged, and we hope that B-to-B meetings will issue big partners between the Tunisian operator, economic operator, and their partner in Nigeria.
Jaziri, who said it was their first business visit to Nigeria, said the country was the biggest economy in Africa, saying, “With this delegation, we need to construct a better economic cooperation between our two countries.
“Here, we have almost all the sectors; construction, information technology, health training, engineering, renewable energy industry, pharmaceutical, mechanical, electrical and also chemical industry.
“So you have almost all the sectors’ representatives in this delegation,” he said.
