The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has launched an Arab International Laboratory and Diagonistic Centre in Abuja.
Unveiling the laboratory, the minister of state for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Ramatu Tijani Aliyu, said it would help Nigerians in accessing quality diagnosis and health service delivery.

The registrar of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), urged the management of the laboratory to engage the services of qualified and experienced medical laboratory scientists in the facility.
He also advised the laboratory to commence the process of international accreditation of the facility with the MLCSN.
The chief executive officer of the Arab International Laboratory and Diagnostics Centre, Prof Mahmoud Elansary, said he decided to set up a facility in Nigeria to make advanced diagnostic technology and tests available to improve the country’s health sector.
He said the laboratory was also available in Ghana, Egypt, Poland, Cyprus, Ukraine and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, among others.
