The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has earmarked 400 hectares for the relocation of the Apo Mechanic Village to its permanent site in Wasa, Waru District.
The Chairman of the committee for the relocation, Abubakar Makama, made this known when the committee visited the site.
The Coordinator, Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC), Obuh Felix Amaechi, had recently inaugurated a 19-member technical committee on behalf of the FCTA to relocate the traders from the Apo Mechanic Village to Wasa.
Speaking at the site, Makama said the administration would be starting with the Apo Mechanic Village traders before the artisans because of the pressure from the traders and the ongoing road construction in the area.
