The FCT Administration yesterday said its Directorate of Road Traffic Service (DRTS), popularly known as VIO, generated N3, 795,634,120.78 between January and November 2021.
The administration also announced that 1,386 traffic offenders were prosecuted during the period.
The secretary of the Transportation Secretariat, Zakari Angulu Dobi, told journalists in Abuja that 127,708 vehicles were registered and 4,866 others were revalidated.
Dobi said 1,823 motorcycles, 499 tricycles and 482 unpainted commercial taxis were impounded during the period.
The secretary said arrangements were on to restore the services of the Abuja light train which was suspended during the COVID-19 outbreak.
He said the secretariat was working to fix the vandalised infrastructures at the light rail station to ensure smooth resumption.
Dobi also said efforts were on to restore faulty traffic lights within the city centre.
