Victims of the fire incident which occurred at Gwarimpa neighbourhood market on February 4, 2021, have sought the intervention of the FCT minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, on the resumption of business in the market.

Secretary of the traders, Aliyu Ali, made the call during a chat with City News, yesterday in Abuja.

He said the market, located around Tipper Garage by Third Avenue, Gwarimpa, used to be a source of fresh foodstuff to the residents in the area, and also a source of livelihood to many.

“On the day of the tragedy, the FCT minister of state, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, commiserated with us. One of our members lost his life while about two others were injured. We are, therefore, pleading with the minister to assist us because most of us can no longer feed themselves and their families.”
