The Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria (PPFN) has trained teachers in the FCT on sex education with the aim of giving students the proper information on all they need to know about sex.
Speaking over the weekend in Abuja, the programme officer of the organisation, Doofan Udendeh, said “The Comprehensive Life Skills Health Education” training programme was targeted at younger children as most of them had become victims of teenage pregnancy, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), among other issues.
The facilitator of the training from the Lagos State ministry of education, Mrs Bose Deji-Odeinde, said there was the need to end the societal culture of silence on sex education from the children.
