The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the incumbent chairman of Kuje area council, Abdullahi Suleman Sabo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), winner of the February 12, 2022, council chairmanship election in the area.
Sabo defeated other five candidates in all the 10 wards in the area council.

The INEC returning officer for Kuje area council election, Sule Magaji, announced the final results at the commission’s office on Sunday morning.
He declared that the incumbent chairman scored a total votes of 13,301 to defeat his closest rival, Sarki Hamidu Gaube of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who secured 7,694 votes.
The Labour Party (LP) chairmanship candidate in the area, Loveday Ajo, secured 79 votes.
