The Commissioner of Police of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)  Musa Kimo has warn individuals and groups against indulging in acts that will result in the destruction of property and cause a breakdown of law and order in the FCT.

A statement from FCT police spokesman ASP Anjuguri Manzah, said this warning is coming at the wake of the invasion of the office of one of the telecommunication service providers at Maitama District by a group on Thursday 23rd February, 2017.

He added that the CP while condemning the action of the group, reiterates that the Police as the custodian of law and order while being professional in the discharge of its primary duty of the protection of lives and property will not hesitate to apply the appropriate sections of the law in the prosecution of those arrested for causing the breakdown of law and order.

Manzah said the public is therefore enjoined to always adopt civil and legitimate channels in registering grievances instead of resorting to self-help and causing security breach.
