The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police (CP) Musa Kimo has said the police under his command would embark on aggressive raids of criminal hideouts and black spots in the FCT.
He spoke at the meeting of the Eminent Persons Forum of residents of the FCT on Tuesday in Abuja, where he pledged the commitment of the Police to rid the FCT of crimes and criminality.
He added that visibility policing and random raids of suspected criminal spots would be increased to address issues of criminality in the FCT.
He noted that the Eminent Persons Forum is a brain child of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris to create partnerships with communities in fight crime.
He said the gains of this partnership would include confidence building between the Police and the community.
He said the partnership would enhance community and intelligence led policing at the same time erode mutual suspicion between the Police and the community.
