FCT natives hail Tinubu, Wike over creation of FCT Civil Service Commission

The indigenes of the FCT have commended President Bola Tinubu and the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, on the recent creation of the FCT Civil Service Commission and the Secretariat for Women Affairs.

Elder statesman, Danjuma Tanko Dara, while speaking on behalf of the natives, applauded the president and the minister for the establishment of the FCT Civil Service Commission, Women Affairs Secretariat and removing the FCT Administration from the Treasury Single Account (TSA).

Dara expressed confidence that with the way things were going with the present administration, in a few months, the FCT would wear a new look because there would be multiple projects around the territory.

He said that natives of the FCT were very pleased to have Wike as their minister and that they were fully in support of the president and the minister for their thoughtfulness and swift actions to see to the growth of Abuja and the welfare of civil servants.

The elder statesman further said, “Again the interest placed on the women, especially the approval of the creation of a secretariat for women just like the Ministry of Women Affairs in the states is renewing the hope of the natives and the FCT residents as well.

“President Tinubu has proven to be a father to all of us by creating the FCT Civil Service Commission to allow staff career progression and Treasury Single Account TSA, which will pave the way for the Minister to utilize the FCT Internally Generated Revenue IGR for the development of the nation’s capital which will be a huge milestone.”
