FCT Minister appeals to MDAs not to reject Corps members

The minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Muhammad Bello, has called on Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies to accept Corps members posted to their organisations to carry out their one year youth service programme.

Speaking on Tuesday in Abuja during the closing ceremony of the orientation course for 3,120 Batch A Corps members in the FCT, he urged them to also create an enabling environment for them to contribute meaningfully during their primary assignment.

Speaking through his Chief of Staff, Mohammed Bashir Mai-Bono, he said the FCT administration on its part will provide the opportunity for Corps members to participate and contribute in the administration’s programmes spread across the area councils.

On his part, the FCT Coordinator of NYSC, Mr Bello Ballama, reiterated that the federal government expects their cooperation and involvement in the fight against corruption, fake news and hate speech.

He urged them to be dependable vanguard to bring about the needed change in the system.
