FCT Wrestling Association chairman, Chris Amkpila who spoke after the Association’s board meeting in Abuja noted that camp will open in the first week of December.
According to the Chairman, those invited are: Victor Okon, Nnamdi Ojofor, Emeka Okafor, Innocent Agada, Kelechi John, Adam Ahmed, Innocent A, Miracle Ernest, Afam Okeke and Emma John.
“Our technical team have been working before now in preparation for the
National sports festival but since the festival has been pushed forward, we thought it wise to enter for the Governor Dickson Cup to test our efforts so far,” he said.
Head Coach of the Association, James Gorge stressed the importance of attending the Championship.
“The competition would expose our wrestlers and help them learn other tricks and technique as we prepare for the National Sports Festival next year,” he explained.
The 2nd Governor Seriake Dickson Wrestling championship runs from the 15th -20th of next month. FCT won one silver medal last year.
