Dr. Demola Onakomaiya, for his contributions to the health sector, youth empowerment, education development and humanitarian services in the year 2013.
National President of NANNS, Agbese Orinyain, said during the presentation recently in Abuja, that the efforts of the secretary in transforming FCT public hospitals has been noted by a section of the Nigeria state.
He mentioned other eminent recipients of the award to include Dr. Olusola Saraki, Governor Babangida Aliyu of Niger State, Mrs. Amma Pepple, Dr. Ibrahim Wada, Prof. Olugbemiro Jegede, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, Chief Mrs. Regina Agbese, Barrister Paul Harris Ogbole and Sen. Grace Bent.
The secretary also bagged another award from Oduduwa Youth Development Initiatives (OYDI).
Similarly, Executive Secretary, Oduduwa Youth Development Initiative, Prince Awoyinfa Segun, has commended Onakomaiya for positively representing youths by his humble leadership style as well as tangible and palpable results in the FCT health sector.
He said this was a clear demonstration that the Nigerian youths are now robustly alive to their roles and responsibilities as the nation’s successor generation.
The awards were received on the secretary’s behalf by his special assistant, Mr. Niyi Oduneye, who commended the groups for the recognition.
