The Management of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has announced on Sunday that the recent drop in electricity supply to customers in the FCT was due to a reduction in energy allocated to the company.

This is contained in a statement signed by the company’s Head of Public Relations, Mr Ahmed Shekarau.

The statement listed areas experiencing the drop in electricity as the FCT, Kogi, Nasarawa and Niger states.

It explained that the drop was due to the recent huge drop in national generation.

The statement assured that the AEDC and other stakeholders were working to restore power to the affected areas.

The management of the AEDC also appealed for understanding from customers, saying that customers would be treated fairly in distributing energy allocated to the company. (NAN)
