FCT Devt Control gets acting director

The Federal Capital Territory Administration has appointed Hamza  Madaki   Tayyub  as the acting Director of the department of Development Control of Abuja Municipal Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC). His appointment came following the retirement of Tpl Yahaya Yusuf, who until his retirement was the Director of Development Control.
Hamza Madaki Tayyub was born in September 15, 1958 and hails from Kwa in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State. Until his recent appointment, he was the Deputy Director, Development  Control Department of AMMC.
 The new acting director attended Dawakin Tofa Primary School between    1966 – 1972    Certificate and later proceeded to Dawakin Tofa Government Secondary School between    1973 – 1977.  He was   at Bayero University (BUK), Kano between    1977 – 1978 for his    Pre-Degree and later at the same Bayero University, Kano   for B.SC (Hons) Geography from 1978 – 1981.  He proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria from 1983 – 1985 where he bagged his Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning (M.SC. URP).
He has worked with Kano State Urban Planning & Development Authority (KNUPDA) and was the Sole Administrator /Chairman, Makoda Local Government Area of Kano State from   I998 – 1999. He was  Executive Director, Admin & Finance in 2005  and Director, Physical Planning Min. of Land 2005 – 200-07. He joined the FCDA as the Deputy Director, Development Control Department FCTA 2007 and rose to the rank of Acting Director Development Control in   2015  until his recent posting.
He is a member of professional bodies such as Nigerian Institute of Town Planners NITP, Town Planners Registration Council  and   Fellow, Nigerian Institute of Town Planners. 
He is married and blessed with children.
