The Commissioner of Police (CP) of the FCT, Haruna G Garba, on Friday, paraded 39 suspects that were involved in various crimes.
Garba, while addressing newsmen at the command’s headquarters, said the suspects were arrested by the joint task force of “Operation Save FCT” set up by the FCT Minister, Nyemso Wike.
He said the task force which comprised the police, military, NSCDC and DTRS, carried out coordinated raids on criminal hideouts, uncompleted buildings, shanties and clearance operations in the bushes and forests bordering the FCT.
CP Garba, speaking on the successes recorded by the joint task force in the last two weeks, said 135 suspects were arrested in black spots located in Kwali, Dutse Alhaji, Mpape, Karu, AYA, Nyaya, Karmo, Karshi, Kuje, Airport Road, Berger Roundabout, Jabi, Orozo and Mararaba.

He also said the task force recovered eight stolen vehicles in which were stocked with knives and handcuffs.
