The management of Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT, owners of the Zuba international market, has announced the disbandment of the activities of the market’s main traders association with immediate effect.
This was contained in a statement signed by the council’s Director of Administration, Mr Danlami Awaje, and made available to newsmen in Abuja.
The statement said the decision had become necessary following a security report received by the council that the activities of the association had seriously affected the peace and progress of the market.
He said despite all efforts by the council through several meetings with the association’s leadership to broker peace, they have persistently refused to allow peace to reign.

It added that in view of the foregoing, the activities of the association has been suspended forthwith.
