Managing director of First City Monument Bank Limited (FCMB), Adam Nuru, said to have fathered two children on a married female staff, has volunteered to proceed on leave to guarantee the sanctity of an ongoing investigation by the bank’s board against him, the bank has announced.

Recall that the social media and internet space has been buzzing following an allegation of extra-marital affairs involving Nuru, and a former employee known as Moyo Thomas, part of which allegedly led to the death of the latter’s husband, Tunde Thomas.

The FCMB Group Head of Corporate Affairs, Diran Olojo in an initial response informed stakeholders and the general public that it is currently conducting a review of what transpired, to ascertain if there are violations of code of ethics or mere allegations.

The Management in another communication on Tuesday notified the public that during the period of the review, Adam Nuru has volunteered to proceed on Leave.

“This will guarantee the sanctity of the review process” It added.

The Management enjoyed stakeholders to bear with them during the period of the review and respect the various families involved.
