The FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, has ordered the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) to within two weeks  rehabilitate and resurface the failed portions of Abuja-Bwari-Kaduna road by Dutse-Alhaji Modern Market.
The minister gave this instruction Wednesday, while meeting with some senior officials of the FCDA in his office.
The minister noted that the failed portions on the dual carriage road by Dutse-Alhaji market that serve as entrance into the Abuja metropolis is not only an eyesore but a source of worry to every motorist passing through that axis.
Malam Bello said that  the failed portion is one of the major causes of traffic gridlock on that route.
At the failed portions near the Dutse-Alhaji Modern market, Arab Contractors Nigeria Limited has already commenced rehabilitation work on the road.
One of the workers on site, Surveyor John Nuhu, said that the firm has mobilized to site and would complete one part of the dual carriage by Friday or Saturday and move to the second part next week.
