The finals of this year’s Governor Aminu Bello Masari Unity football tournament will be decided today between FC Porto Zango and Musa Haro Academy Daura at the Daura Township stadium.
The annual youth football tournament organised for clubs in the 12 Local Government Areas in Daura Senatorial Zone is staged in honour of the Katsina State governor.
To reach the finals, Musa Haro Academy edged out Eagle Stars of Maiadua 4-2 on penalties after 1-1 draw in regulation time while FC Porto Zango ended the run of Hadi Sirika FC 3-2 in the second semi-finals.
The Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) Alhaji Sani Abu Daura has said Governor Masari will be represented at the finals by his Commissioner of Sports, Alhaji Aliyu Danlami.
Daura also said other dignitaries who are going to grace the event are the Special Assistant to the governor on Sports, Hon. Amadu Adidas and the District Head of Dutsi Local Government Area, Alhaji Lawan Sani Dutsi who will serve as the Royal Father of the day.
