The Governor of Ekiti State Ayodele Fayose on Saturday claimed that over 200 thousand unclaimed Permanent Voters Cards are being sold to strangers outside the state with the intention to rig the July 14 governorship poll.
In the same vein, the governor has directed the Head of Service, Gbenga Faseluka, to issue letters of promotion to 46,000 civil servants whose promotion had been put on hold in the last three years.
Briefing journalists on Saturday in the newly constructed governor’s office, Fayose also announced intention to engage about 2000 youths in the state civil service.
The governor, who claimed he had information from reliable sources that PVS not yet collected were being sold to people outside Ekiti to use them during the forthcoming poll, urged electorate yet to collect their PVC to do so.
He said, "What we have found out is that the PVCs are being purchased to give to people not from Ekiti to be part of this poll and they will buy them cleverly and give to people to use on July 14.
