He said he has been residing at the camp for over 28 years and that neither him nor any of family members ever had a disagreement with anybody or engaged in any crime.

He said, “I have been residing in Shereti village for 28 years rearing cows and I have never had any disagreement with anybody, nor was any of my children found to have engaged in any kind of crime. But one day, some security personnel and hunters just invaded my camp and killed three of my children.’’

He said he suspected one of his kinsman, residing about one kilometer away from his camp, as the mastermind of the attack on his family.

“Yes, I suspect my kinsman to be the mastermind of the attack on my family because that very day the incident happened, the man fled his camp alongside his family and cows, which up till this moment I am talking to you, he is yet to be located,” he said.

Maifadama, however, claimed that he was able to identify two among the hunters who invaded his camp, adding a pair of handcuffs and some live bullets abandoned by the hunters were recovered and handed over to the police.

He appealed to the FCT Police Commissioner, OlatunjiRilwanDisu, to intensify investigation into the incident and arrest those behind the attack on his family.
