At a media conference held at the media centre of the stadium, the state commissioner of Sports, Youths and Social Development, Prince Ademola Adeniji-Adele disclosed that all necessary arrangements to make the event hitch free have been put in place by the government.

He noted that spectators and other special guests expected at the final would see a new security measure outlined by the state, adding that this is being done with the aim of exhibiting the state’s readiness to host the forthcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup in October.

“One thing that is paramount in the agenda of FIFA is the issue of security of lives and property, so due to this noticeable aspect, the state government is leaving no stone unturned to show the whole world that they are really ready to host the world event. Based on this we are assuring all the spectators not to entertain any fear”, said Adele.

He therefore expressed gratitude to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for given the state opportunity to host the Cup final regarded as the oldest football event in the country, promising that they would not disappoint in their endeavour as the state would justify the confidence reposed in it.
