Daily Trust gathered that the farmer was also a businessman with many big shops at different locations in MutumBiyu, headquarters of Gassol.
Late Barjanga was abducted last year on the same farm and he reportedly paid over N7million ransom.
Sources close to his family told Daily Trust that late Barjanga left his shop early morning that fateful Monday to inspect his farm when he was attacked.
The source said his murderers might have probably trailed him from MutumBiyu to his farm.
The source said some people at a farm settlement near the victim farm heard somebody calling for help inside the farm.
Daily Trust gathered that three suspects rode away on a motorcycle from the farm where the farmer was murdered.
The victim had already died when the rescuers arrived the farm, according to the source.
Daily Trust further gathered that nothing was removed from the victim as a large sum of money was found in his pockets.
The murder of Saminu Barjanga came few days after a daughter and son of a brother to Taraba Deputy Governor, Haruna Manu, who were abducted a week ago, regained freedom.
They were abducted in the house of their Father, Alhaji Ibrahim Manu, which is located behind the palace of Chief of MutumBiyu.
The Taraba state police spokeperson, DSP David Misal, could not be reached for comment as his line was switched off when our reporter attempted to speak with him over the development.
