Farmer hacked to death in FCT

A farmer, Reuben Adamu, has been hacked to death by suspected herders in Rubokya community in Kwaku Ward in Kuje Area Council of the FCT.

A resident, Samson Zacharia, said the incident happened last Wednesday around 11am when the victim went to cultivate his farm.

He said the victim who met cows grazing on his farm, queried the herders and that in the process one of them attacked him with a cutlass which led to his death.

He further said, “Before the villagers could arrive at the farm, the herders who were migrating, had already escaped. Vigilantes have been mobilised from Sabo village and are trailing them.”

The spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, could not be reached for a statement on the incident.
