A famous scholar and Chairman, Council of Imamas and Ulama, Kaduna state, Sheikh Abubakar Usman Babantune is dead.
He died at the age of 74years on Monday at about 3pm after battling with an ailment at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Shika.
He is survived by two wives and 21 children.
Secretary of the council, Yusuf Yakubu Arrigasiyyu said the funeral prayer will be done at the Sheikh’s residence in lowcost, Zaria and he will be buried after the evening (Magrib) prayer today.
