The family of the late gospel singer, Sammie Okposo, has announced the burial arrangements for the musician.

According to the obituary shared on Monday, Sammie would be buried on Thursday, the 15th of December.

Before the final burial, a night of tributes will be held for him on Tuesday, 13th of December at the La Madison Place, Oniru in Lagos by 5 pm followed by a service of songs on Wednesday, 14th of December at the House on the Rock Cathedral at Lekki.

It was also revealed that the singer would be laid to rest at a private burial on Thursday, December 15, which would be strictly by invitation.

Recall that the popular “Welu Welu” singer Sammie Okposo died on Friday 25th of November after he reportedly slumped while he was being treated for fatigue.

Sammie is one of the most popular gospel artistes in Nigeria, the musician has been featured in many other gospel songs, moreso, he has done a lot of movie soundtracks in Nollywood among which is the classic film, Issakaba.

His last album, The Statement (2018), was produced by the Grammy-winning Kevin Bond.
