The initiatives  beneficiaries were given different business items.

Benue/Plateau Trust reports that the late Hon. Maitala, died on April 2, 2021, in a ghastly motor accident along Abuja-Jos road.

The items distributed included motorcycles, sewing and water pumping machines said to be part of the deceased’s “Legacy Projects” planned to be executed but that he died before the distribution.

More than 200 youths and women from the deceased’s constituency on Monday received various empowerment items.

Speaking to journalists at the occasion, Faisal Maitala, a son of the deceased, said “human development is a family philosophy that was engraved in the mind of every family member and has become part of their everyday life.

“This is why it is easy for me to continue where my late father stopped. My late father won his election based on three campaign promises namely; security, education and empowerment. And he made tremendous achievements in fulfilment of his campaign promises as evident in the construction of school infrastructure, purchase of security vehicles and gadgets for various security outfits in the constituency as well as empowering women and youths, he added.

Earlier in his address, Abdulkadir Hassan, the Senior Legislative Aide (SLA) to late Maitala described the late lawmaker as a leader per excellence noting that late Maitala was so passionate about changing the fortunes of the constituency.

Some of the beneficiaries, Ketura John and Asabe Monday, while appreciating the gesture, thanked the son of the deceased for fulfilling the promises of their father.
