Famous Nigerian rapper and singer, Folarin Falana, a.k.a Falz, at the weekend visited the Palms Mall in Lekki, Lagos to encourage Nigerians scan and win in the #MTNLoveBox campaign.
A statement by the telecom giant said MTN decided to share love to Nigerians in one of the most creative ways – using QR codes to give out freebies like Ice Cream for 2, brand new Samsung smartphones, movie tickets for 2, free Data and shopping vouchers, etc on Valentine’s Day.
It noted that as one of the brand ambassadors for MTN Nigeria, Falz, took part in the “Love Box”, to encourage people to share love with each other during and beyond the season.
Similarly, Falz’ fans crowded the shopping mall to catch a glimpse of the rapper, as well as to win any of the exciting gifts by scanning their QR code on the #myMTNApp.
Meanwhile, one of the singer’s fans simply identified as Hauwa was overwhelmed with joy, having been identified by her friend and introduced to Falz.
The fan, Hauwa, smiled bashfully as she covered her face and continued to dock into a table even when Falz approached her desk to say “hello.”
She later explained that she was star struck and the excitement of meeting Falz had gotten to her.
