A member of the Nigeria Football Federation, Executive Committee, Aisha Falode has praised the bronze medalists of the CAF Champions League 2022, Bayelsa Queens of Yenagoa, for their performances in the just concluded 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco.

The Nigerian side emerged third place winners after after defeating Simba Queens of Tanzania by a lone goal. Falode, also commended the Bayelsa State government for the positive investments made in the Prosperity Girls.

“The investment the governor made in Bayelsa Queens will surely have some impacts on the further development of women’s football league in Nigeria.

“The Prosperity Girls were handled professionally in all aspects of the game before and during the team’s campaign in the 2022 CAF Champions League, much that, the teams not emerging the eventual champions of Africa was a matter of hard luck and nothing to do with the technical aspect of the game,” she said.

She stressed that in the entire CAF Women’s Champions League campaign, Bayelsa Queens of Yenagoa displayed a high level of integrity, transparency, fair play, credibility and respect to get to the height they attained.

Falode commended Bayelsa Queens for representing the Nigeria Women’s Football League, the Nigerian Premiership, and Nigeria well during the competition

Before the 2022–23 Nigeria Women Football Premiership League season began, she further advised all current Premiership clubs and newly promoted clubs to be prepared to accept the Club Licensing regulations.
