Fake medicines massively circulating, PSN says

The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) has reiterated the commitment of the society to rid the nation of fake medicines “heavily in circulation”.

President of the society Ahmed Yakasai who spoke during the 11th Annual Scientific Conference and Exposition of Nigerian Association of Pharmacists and Pharmaceutical Scientists in the Americas, Inc. (NAPPSA) held in Houston Texas, USA, said the society was working hard to deploy technology in pharmacy practice in Nigeria through building of a robust IT Platform where data of regulatory agencies would interface.

Yakasai also said in his speech at the event that there was need for a more robust relationship with NAPPSA “to build a health and pharmaceutical sectors in Nigeria that we can all be proud of.”
