Three hundred unemployed youths are being train by the Fadama lll programme in Taraba State on agro-business as part of efforts to empower the youth.
The three weeks programme is also aimed to foster opportunities in agri-business potentials.
The state coordinator programme, Mrs Regina Festus said at the flagging off of the training known as ‘Fadama Guys’ in Jalingo, said it was aimed at empowering youths to be self-employed.
She explained that the training would also create a pool of graduates with technical and practical skills with a view to enhancing their competitiveness within the agricultural value chain.
Mrs Festus disclosed that secondary school leavers and diploma holders would receive N700, 000 while graduates while those with master degrees would get N1million at the end of the training to start their businesses.
