Expectation on the rise as Gidan Badamasi Season 5 hits screen

Fans of the TV comedy series Gidan Badamasi have expressed optimism as the series Season 5 hit the screen on the 6th of October 2022. It would be recalled that when Season 4 of the series ended, fans thought the comedy series would not continue.

Barely a few weeks after Season 4 ended, fans of the comedy series began asking questions as rumours were rife that the producers will not continue due to some unexplained reasons. The producers on their part didn’t say anything on the issue.

However, fans’ hope was restored when the director and producer of the comedy series Falalu Dorayi took to his social media handles to announce the commencement of the shooting of Season 5 of Gidan Badamasi.

The comedy series is a situational comedy-drama centred on the wealthy but controversial family of Alhaji Badamasi. In the TV series, Alhaji Badamasi played by Magaji Ibrahim Mijinyawa is portrayed as a stingy wealthy man with flair for women and wealth. He is married to many women and has many children from his various marriages.

From Season one; the series had gone through several upgrades in terms of content and quality production. Fans are optimistic that Season 5 will not deviate from the initial trend of entertainment, and education as well as informing them.

According to a fan of the comedy series, Abba Pele, the comedy did very well in maintaining the comic side of the storyline all through the seasons.

“The series has maintained the tempo; it has successes in carrying the fans along without deviating from the original theme up to Season five. Moreover, when news that the comedy series will not continue came up, we became so worried because it is the only film that is safe to watch as a decent home video in the Hausa community.

The movie, produced and directed by one of the cast Falalu Dorayi, has been one of the few Hausa TV series making waves recently on Arewa24. The producer Falalu Dorayi plays the role of Taska – a personal aide to Alhaji Badamasi.

Another fan of the TV series Hassan Safiyanu said the success recorded by the comedy series has been so remarkable, “After the success recorded in Season one and the subsequent seasons, Season five has our high expectations and we hope that what we anticipated will be delivered to us,” he said.

Similarly, in one of the teasers released by the producers, Season 5 seems to be one of the best seasons ever put together by the crew. According to Falalu Dorayi, the TV series has introduced entirely new roles for different artists to make it more interesting and worthwhile.

“Based on the response and goodwill messages we have been receiving, the crew had been working round the clock to see that all the observations and recommendations made by our teaming fans have been captured and replicated in Season five. Basically, we have adopted the ‘Fan’s driven’ approach to it, and we hope Season five will surely be far better than the rest as we were set to improve our production in accordance to our open-door policy,” he said.

Another cast in the comedy Tijjani Asase, who played the role of Alhaji Badamasi’s inlaw, said they all put in their best in Season five and soon viewers will attest to their claims as Season five hits the screen.
